![]() I have never spent so much money on groceries in my life, but, I have also spent much less on eating out! I spent a lot of time cooking and cleaning, this means giving time to myself, something I have not been very good at in the past.
I made: - Salad - Fruit Salad - Zucchini stir-fry - Bone Broth Veggie Soup - Smoothies and in between jobs I had to be innovative. I stopped at the local Wawa and got hard boiled eggs and a Greek yogurt. Twice I ate veggies with eggs, and an ill fated steak bowl. It was terrible and not worth the calories. What I learned was I enjoyed the simple hard boiled eggs and yogurt, better than any of the above. I enjoyed my own cooking and began to really crave fruits and veggies. This week, now that I am a bit better I want to get in my 30 min of activity again while maintaining the cooking and prep time needed to do this detox. I am trying to move into a lifestyle change and really bring about significant health and weight loss. I will do a 5 days on 2 days off. Even when off I still made better choices. It was my Birthday on Friday and I went into Panera with every intention of getting a wonderful cupcake. But I walked out and made some pancakes instead. I could not justify 770 calories for four bites of cupcake. And the pancakes were awesome!! I added blueberries, a banana, cinnamon and walnuts and had pancakes for two days. They may become a regular weekend treat. Tonight I made more fruit salad and already packed it for work lunches and will make a salad as soon as I am off of here. All of the extra fruit got bagged into the freezer for future smoothies! I did loose a total of 6 pounds and am looking forward to much more. Many blessings all! J.D.

sHello Friends,
I injured myself last week and have not been able to fulfill my 30 day challenge as I need to stay off my ankle. So Since I am forced to take some time off, I have started to ease into a detox. I have inherited my families issue with edema in the legs and sensitivity to salt. The injury has exasperated this. So instead of going metaphysical, I am going physical, very physical. Metaphysical ties: Since doing this work 7 years ago, my weight has ballooned up well over 50 pounds and now it is time to address this. Fat acts as a protection from negative energies and boy has my body responded lol. I also have spent enormous amounts of time sitting: Driving to appointments and events, sitting with clients, sitting for classes, basically my time is spent in my head and not my body. I have spent the past year and a half upping my steps and up until now have been successful. This however has not made much of a difference, do now I must address my diet. So I decided to make a nutrient rich organic salad to help detox and lessen my dependence on salt and sugars. I am not going low carb, but I am reducing my use of refined cars, except on special occasions. I am not jumping in as I had in the past, but wading slowing, and working towards a life change. I am also looking forward to a vacation that will include a lot of pool time and walking time and I want to be healthier and happier for both! As I go through my journey, I am including recipes and nutrient facts. There are a ton of links at the end of the article to help you research for your-self. I will be including my fruit salad later. I invite you to comment and share and of course to like! Detox salad: Each component and their benefits

Since we intuitively pick up on energy I would challenge that our entire intuitive system of senses are being clouded with an electronic cloud. It makes it more difficult to feel people’s pure energy. It is not impossible, but just more difficult. When I unplug, I immediately feel my stress decrease. Last year I started to take days and disconnect from the phone and internet. During that time I would feel an immediate calm come over me. I have no computers in my office space and only use a few lights, to keep it as unplugged as possible. Find or make a space in your home or work space that is free of electronics. Go there when you are stressed and meditate. Use a candle instead of electric lights to illuminate the room. That being said, you can use it to your advantage. The internet has vast resources of metaphysical information, meditations, and groups of kindred souls that you can connect with and explore. But you do not need to be connected 24/7 and should turn off these products when you sleep, are with friends and family, and or are meditating (unless you are using you tube to meditate!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ELBIGaqsJ8k&list=PLHB10r5cVJOlAYeXX-AgSUeB7JOWUOnap I hope that you liked this article series. Be on the look out for next month’s helpful hints and tools! ![]() ![]() Hello Dear ones, Week one of challenge done. With the exception of one day I have been successful with my mission! The first few days involved walking via shopping, and yes that counts! Three days included 30 minutes of rebounding. What is rebounding you ask? Here let me show you another picture! It is a mini trampoline and is very good for your immunity as it helps to circulate the lymphatic fluids. these fluids do not circulate on their own, but bouncing does the job! Yesterday I reached 10,000 steps. This is a first in a very long time. My ankle is paying the price though today. I went to the Tartan day Parade in NYC and walked all over the place. Next year I may even march in it!! If you have not figured out I am a huge fan of Outlander and the very handsome Sam Heughan was there as the grand Marshall. While I am not sure if I am Scottish, I do know I have roots in the British Isles. Where they lead is a search for another day! Today I cleaned most of the day and am letting my ankle rest. so my activity will simply have to be walking around the house cleaning, and since that is something I rarely take the time to do, I am counting that as well. May your day be lovely and your week be active! Many Blessings, J.D. ![]() Hello my friends, I hope all of you had a great March and even greater success with your challenges! Well for a deep cleanse, mine involved very little of what I actual cleaning. I wish it had been just that. Instead it involved big and pronounced ousting of exes, a month of being sick on and off, (On right now) and emotional release. This month we are looking towards our bodies. They house our spirit and should be cared for in ways that we often neglect. This month's challenge is simple: move for 30 extra minutes a day. Your normal activities do not count. If you clean every Sunday or do Groceries every Sunday then that is your normal activity. For me my average weekday consists of about 4,000-8,000 steps. So in 30 minutes I can expect to add another 1500 steps. So my daily goal is now 5,500-9,500 steps. If you do not count steps, then at the beginning or end of your day do something active. Try to switch it up: walking, running, work out your upper body, dance, yoga, anything that will honor your body. If you are not able to use your legs, then do upper body activities. There is always something you can move and groove to. I do urge you to consult your health care peeps before doing anything new or strenuous. The idea is not to over do it, but rather honor your body and show it some love. Well physical deep cleaning has taken a back seat this week. It certainly has not been what I thought when I took on this challenge. During last week's super new moon I did a release ceremony with a friend. I released old cords and ties, to many who no longer served my highest good. This ceremony followed a spirit release that has been with me for a very long time. One who also had kept those of the male persuasion at bay. This was done out of a protective instinct. Well her release led to me also dropping 4 pounds. Yay!!
This yay was short lived as the combination of her absence and the cord release of my ex'es led to the prompt return of an ex. I will not go into details except to say that very strong boundaries were set by me and some men in blue. ;) That being said, As I re-re-released this person, I found a community of people who were both supportive and protective. I had a friend come to my rescue and support, and a new friend reached out with words of wisdom. My neighbors are now standing sentinel and have even checked in to see how I was. I feel blessed and in a state of gratitude as I move forward and continue this deep cleanse. It was not what I thought it would be, but exactly what was needed. I still need to whip this house into shape though!! I will be taking a break for the last week and will explain later, but my deep cleanse plan for that week will be drinking a full 8+ glasses of water daily and giving my system some much needed R&R. How are you all doing on your challenges? This week has been a bit more about spiritual cleansing than physical cleansing. There has been ending of cycles and big releases. Do not get me wrong I have been doing physical cleaning, a little every day, but I have needed to let some things go that have been weighing me down.
During the Super New Moon a friend and I released all old energies. By the way this is something that should be done periodically. As many of you know, I had to release an ex a little while ago, well with him came others. How do you know that you are ready for such a release? Well in order for me to cut or remove cords from a client they need to fit the following criteria: - Free from anger - Really ready to move on - They are ready to not contact this person again - They are already feeling happier without them in their lives I had to re-release exes over and over again until I fit these criteria and now, I can honestly say that I feel nothing for any of them. I wish them well, but do not wish them back. I hope for you that you can forgive all of those that have hurt you! Many Blessings all of my friends, J.D. Deep clean week 1
Well being sick for the past two weeks has derailed me slightly, but I am still going! I have to say that since the decluttering I am starting to enjoy my space again. as for the deep clean, well I have spent time on the floors this week. I tackled my kitchen, bathroom, and dining room floors. As I clean out my house I also made a move to clean out my energy. I have had an ex hounding me for the past 5 months. at first it was just on and off, so I did not pay it any mind, but now over this weekend I received an absurd number of e-mails pleading with me to change my mind. I finally got so sick of seeing new e-mails pop up every few minutes, to every few hours that I blocked him. While it is nice to be wanted, he is an ex for a reason, and I am cleaning my life of that energy. I talked about the above, not to, air out my dirty laundry, but rather give a perfect example of cleaning out one's energy. I forgive him fully and release his energy with love and light, but I no longer wish to be dragged into an energetic game of push and pull. if you are stumped as to how to deep clean, use my story as inspiration and truly clear your energy of people who are draining you. Good luck and many blessings! ![]() Welcome back, today we are taking a look at smell pollution! Smell Pollution: Your deodorant, full of chemicals, the smell of exhaust, and the spray deodorizers that are everywhere can all block your Clairalience (clear smelling) ability. Yes this indeed a real thing. I have had many experiences where I have smelled something that had no known source. One example was about 6 years ago and my mother and I were sitting in the living room. I suddenly got a strong whiff of “Old Spice. “ (no one has worn that in our house for 20 years) I started to walk around the room smelling everything, trying to find the source of the smell. My mother asked me what I was doing and I told her. I decided to ask her who was in the family who wore that cologne and without hesitation she said her Uncle. As soon as she said that the smell disappeared. Now the reason I share this story, is because you may find yourself with a similar experience and not know who is trying to say hello. After years of being a medium, I know now that when I receive a feeling or smell and I figure out who it is, the feeling or smell will finally go away. If you find yourself experiencing the same thing, first eliminate all logical sources, and when that has been done, and then you can be sure that it is a visitor. Have you ever dated someone who smelled wonderful, but later noticed that their natural smell was not so good. Colognes, while lovely can hide the natural pheromones that would attract you to a biologically sound match. Often times you are also not a match personality wise either. Take the time to smell your partner without any perfumes or cologne on and see if you are still attracted. I am not saying to get rid of it all together, I have a ton, but I am also extremely intuitive and already open. For your space, you can use air purifiers; create your own room sprays (I have an online class that can help you learn how to do this!), spend a day without conventional deodorant, use essential oil diffusers, fill your home with the wonderful smells of home cooking. There are many ways to hone your sniffer and allow nature to rule your space. ![]() Hello Friends, I hope your 30 day challenge has been going well. Mine has been outstanding. I did not get to everything I had wanted, but I made a big dent and already my energy has changed. Within the past two months my business has taken on a big change by adding a total of 4 new practitioners totaling 7. This is very big and I am excited for them all to join in on the fun! One of my students who has been doing these challenges along with me got a job after looking for over 4 years. I would love to know what changes have happened for you? These changes are the very reason I started on this journey. I felt stuck in several areas of my life and the best way to invite change is to create it yourself. I am not one to sit and wait twiddling my thumbs. I knew that there were neglected areas in my life and I am now month by month taking time to attend to them. In January we de-cluttered our mind with meditation In February we de-cluttered our physical and virtual spaces In March we are going for the deep Spring Clean. I fully admit that when it comes to cleaning there are many corners I literally cut. Not this month. This month I shall reach into the dusty corners and neglected nooks and clean them out. If this is not your issue, Deep clean yourself, do a detox, spiritually, virtually, emotionally. Deep cleaning could be a variety of tasks. If you do a physical detox, please consult your Dr. They are not something I take lightly. I am saving my detox for later in the year, right now for myself, my physical space still need attending to. Good Luck and happy cleaning! |
